Category C visas: Long-term, work and immigrant visas
Category C visas are the basis for long-term legal stay in the country and obtaining the relevant permits.
Issued to ethnic Kazakhs (Kandas) returning to their historical homeland for permanent residence.
For family members (spouses, children) of citizens of Kazakhstan or foreigners who already have a residence permit and permanently reside in the country.
A basic work visa. Issued to foreign specialists hired by Kazakhstani employers, as well as their accompanying family members. To obtain one, the employer must first obtain a work permit (or prove exemption from one).
For highly qualified specialists from the list of in-demand professions (approved by the state) who come to look for work on their own.
A visa for foreign entrepreneurs coming to Kazakhstan to register a legal entity, open a company, and conduct full-fledged commercial activities.
To attract foreign citizens for short-term or seasonal work (for example, in agriculture).
For applicants and students entering or already studying at schools, colleges and universities in Kazakhstan.
For foreign patients traveling to clinics in Kazakhstan for treatment, inpatient care or medical consultations.
